WELCOME TO LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL!


   Lincoln High School opened on Tuesday, September 5, 1978, to accommodate ninth through twelfth grade students from the Shinnston and Lumberport sections of Harrison County, West Virginia. It consolidated two schools, Shinnston High School and Lumberport High School. Lincoln High School derived its name from the first public school located in Harrison County in the vicinity of the nearby community of Gypsy. Site preparation began in the spring of 1975. Groundbreaking ceremonies for thebuilding were held September 9, 1976. Cornerstone laying was June 4, 1977. A new additon was completed for 1994-1995.

Monday:  Grilled chicken wrap/oven fries/steamed carrots/fruit cocktail

Tuesday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, WG bread, peaches

Wednesday: Nachos w/ground beef, salsa, refried beans, brown rice, apple crisp

Thursday: Baked potato w/chili&cheese, tossed salad, WG breadstick, pears

Vaccine Information for Upcoming 12th Graders!


The Lincoln High School Based Health Center will be offering the Meningitis vaccine throughout the end of the school year.  This vaccine is required by the State of West Virginia prior to entering 12th grade.  If your child is not up to date on their Tdap vaccine, he/she will need to have that completed as well to meet state requirements.  Please contact the School Based Health Center at Lincoln High on Monday or Wednesday between 7:30am and 3:30pm or on Friday between 7:30am and 11:15 am at 304-592-5082 if interested in having your child receive the Meningitis and/or Tdap vaccine.  Parents do not need to be present, but are always welcome.


                                             

Free Sports Physicals!

The Lincoln High School Based Health Center will be offering free sports physical examinations on June 1, 2, and 3, 2016. If you would like for your child to have an exam, please complete the WVSSAC Athletic Participation/ParentaI Consent/Physician's Certificate Form and return to the school with your child. Please complete the form including the medical history and be sure to sign the forms. Due to early dismissal on June 1, we ask that you return the form by May 25. We will schedule on a first come first serve basis on that day during school hours. However, we will accommodate all of those wanting an exam for the remainder of June 1, 2, and 3 between 7:30am and 3:30pm.
