Hello! My name is Kathy DeMarco and have taught Physical Education for the last 28 years at Lumberport Elementary. Before teaching P.E., I also taught 5th Grade and a part-time gifted class, both at this school. I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education from Fairmont State Univerity in 1983. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education from West Virginia University, which I received in 2000. Personal Information: I am married to Frank A. DeMarco, Harrison County Magistrate, and we have two children, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Our daughter Tara is a graduate of Fairmont State and is employed by United Hospital Center as a Lab Technician. She has three children, Emma, who graduated from Lincoln High School, attended Alderson Broaddus University; Sammie, who will be a Sophmore at Lincoln High School; and Gabriel Mark, who is in Kindergarten at Big Elm, getting ready for First Grade next year. Our son, Ryan A. DeMarco, graduated from West Virginia University majoring in Criminology Investigations and works at Dodridge County Regional Jail as a Security Guard. Our great-granddaughter, Piper, is going to be two and is our pride and joy! Hobbies: Playing with my grandchildren Cuddling with our Chihauha Lizzy Beth Reading good books in the summer when I have time. Walking and Riding Bikes with Friends Swimming in our pool or soaking in the hot tub Playing the piano for First Christian Church in Mannington Attending Mass at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Shinnston. Attending CR in Shinnston on Thursdays Attending and judging Marble Tournaments We have student mibsters who will be traveling with me to Wildwood, New Jersey on Sunday, June 17th for a week at the National Marbel Tournament. One may win the $1,000 college scholarship awarded to the 1st place boy and 1st place girl.
