The upcoming 2016-2017 school year will be my eighth year teaching. I graduated with my Elementary Education degree from Fairmont State College in 2004. In 2008, I graduated with my master's degree in Special Education with a certification in Autism.
I consider myself a life-long learner. I am currently working on my certification in Mathematics through Marshall University, and I have taken on additional classes to become a TIS (Technology Integration Specialist.) I hope that by learning about technology integration I can instill a higher value of education in my students and help them achieve a deeper understanding of the content. I also want to help teachers incorporate technology in their teaching.
I spend most of my day co-teaching with fourth grade teachers! I really enjoying working with fourth grade students and the curriculum in fourth grade. I also work with other grade levels, but my heart is in fourth grade!
