Schoology Issues

As many of you know, Schoology is having issues with connectivity and handling the load of so many students accessing the platform.  The engineers and technicians at Schoology are working hard to correct this problem. In the meantime, the teachers at Bridgeport Middle want to assure students and families that we understand the additional stress this situation causes on an already stressful situation. We will be lenient with due dates during this time and work with families to complete assignments. Once again, we thank you for partnering with us while we are entering uncharted territory.  Please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher through Livegrades or Schoology if you have questions or concerns. Thank you!

A Letter To Our Families

No one can argue that these are difficult times. We are facing circumstances that are unprecedented in our lifetimes, but West Virginians are no strangers to adversity. We are creative and tenacious. It is no wonder that those same characteristics are revealing themselves in teachers, administrators, educational staff, students, and families across our state, especially in Harrison County.

Bridgeport Middle School is working relentlessly to provide rigorous, rich instruction to our students in innovative ways. Teachers are delivering instruction through Schoology and iReady and communicating to families and students through Livegrades and My Homework app. The county as well as BMS staff will provide instructions on how to login to Schoology, Classlink (online textbooks), and iReady. Teachers will be available to help students and families with questions through Schoology and Livegrades messaging as well as email. Messaging through the Schoology app is one of the most effective ways to contact teachers since they will be monitoring messages during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Any technology questions can be directed to the Harrison County Schools Help Desk at (304)326-7777.

At BMS we are committed to delivering the best instruction possible, so we are asking parents and guardians to complete a quick online survey for each child attending middle school. This survey will help us determine which students do not have access to Internet at home and need paper packets. You can complete the survey by clicking on this link https://docs.google.com/forms/d/12gKQ7o6MEO6EyPO92K66QWkn7NpRRT8mHIP_whWpVJA

As always, we appreciate your support as a community, and we’re honored to serve your family. We will continue to provide information as it becomes available.
