The Second Chance Classroom (SCC) is being utilized to keep kids in school. Students will be placed in SCC in-lieu of Out Of School Suspension. This allows students to recieve instruction, keep up with their work, all while decreasing the number of unexcused absences.
The goal of the SCC is to build relationships with students who have behavioral issues and to help those students understand the reasons behind thier actions, the correlation between choices and consequences, and to find better alternatives.
My position is shared between BHS and BMS where I rotate between the two schools on a weekly basis.

A Little About Me
This is my third year in Harrison County and at BMS. I have been in education since 2002 with a background in Special Education, Behavior Management, and The Options Program. I believe my history has prepared me for my current position as the Second Chance Classroom Teacher for Bridgeport Middle and High Schools.
I am married and have two beautiful daughters and one precious grand-daughter. I am from Monroe County, a very rural area, in the southern part of the state. We currently live in Clarksburg and are still adjusting to "city life".
