After reading several pet stories, Mrs. Folio's class decided to do a community project. The students selected a printed picture of an adoptable pet from Pet Helpers, Inc. Each student then wrote a persuasive essay stating why the pet should be adopted. The students also wanted to help this worthwhile organization through a monetary donation. The class raised $185.00 for Pet Helper animals! The class was privileged to get a visit from Kathy Vincent of Pet Helpers. She brought along one of the foster dogs and discussed pet ownership, responsibility, and love. Bronson Beagle mingled among the students receiving lots of hugs and love.
