Beginning on Monday, June 8, Liberty High School will offer an offseason conditioning for all sports that wish to participate following specific guidelines.  Along with following the guidelines from the WVSSAC, participants will need to have a physical prior to attending offseason conditioning.  They will have to turn in a physician-signed form to their coach and it will also need the signature of the parent or guardian and student.

Physical Forms can be obtained off the WVSSAC Web site (click this link to go to the form

Students can obtain a physical from any physician’s office.  Please make sure that you take the form from the WVSSAC website with you to the appointment.  You should probably call ahead and schedule an appointment.  This physical will be good for the entire 2020-21 school year and will also be required for the three-week summer practice period.

We will be following the guidelines of the WVSSAC and the Harrison County Board of Education.

Dates and times for conditioning are still being determined.  Please understand that this is outdoor conditioning only and is non-sport specific.  If you have questions, please call the school.

Information for Seniors

April 30, 2020

Seniors and Parents of Seniors

I understand that issues of prom and graduation are important to seniors and their parents at this time. This is an important time in your child’s life and we are going to do everything that we can do to make this special for the Class of 2020 while still adhering to the social distancing and CDC guidelines.  I have included important information specifically for seniors in this document.  Please make note of the dates and times where listed.  There may be places where the time will be announced at a later date through School Messenger.

Last Day for Seniors – May 15 will be the last day for seniors.

Textbook and iPad Collection – At this time we have a tentative date of May 19, 2020 for a drive through drop off for textbooks and iPads.  Additional information regarding the times for this procedure will be sent out on School Messenger.  Please be listening for that information.

Prom - I am sure that you have either seen or heard the message from Dr. Manchin that proms have been cancelled.  The following is the statement from Dr. Manchin regarding proms.  "Given the pandemic and the necessity for social distancing, we have decided that it is in the best interest of our students, parents, and everyone involved that we cancel this year's prom events," Manchin said. "It is unfortunate that we must make this decision, but with this kind of event, it is impossible to comply with social distancing recommendations."

Graduation - Liberty’s graduation ceremony will be Thursday, June 25 at 9:00 am (rain date of June 26 at 9:00 am) at the Mazzei-Reaser Athletic Complex.  The Class of 2020 will be the first graduating class from Liberty High School to have an outdoor graduation and they will be the first class to have graduation at the Mazzei-Reaser Athletic Complex.

As reported by Dr. Manchin, each family will receive two tickets per graduate, per CDC and Clarksburg-Harrison Health Department recommendations.  At this time, WDTV will be broadcasting each high school graduation live, so other family members not in attendance will be able to see the ceremony as it is taking place.

Graduation Practice - We will be having a graduation practice, which is mandatory for all who will be participating in the formal ceremony,  at which time the students will receive their 2 tickets for the graduation ceremony.   The date and time of graduation practice will be announced at a later date.

Within the next couple of weeks, I will be mailing and posting on our website additional detailed information with regard to graduation.

Application for Driver's Eligibility Form

If you are requesting a form to take either your written or your drivers test, please print the form and complete it with the correct information and signatures.  You will then need to drop it off at the school between the hours of 10 am and 12 noon Monday through Friday.  You will also need to provide a self addressed stamped envelope for the form to be mailed back to you.  Please allow about a week for your form to be processed and returned to you.

If you have questions, please call the school at 304-326-7470.
