Notice:
We are pleased to announce that Harrison County Schools will be open on Thursday, February 21, 2019. We would like to thank our employees and families for remaining strong during this difficult process. We would also like to thank all of the support we have had from members of our community. Our children are our future and we trust that all of our local and state leaders can come together to make our schools the best they can be. Further, all extra-curricular activities will return to normal schedule.

Hi...My name is Mr. Joe Jedju and I am the Band Director and General Music Teacher at NVES.

BAND HAS STARTED!  This is the biggest North View Band that I have had yet.  Over 30 members!  I am so excited and I hope the band members are too.  I am looking forward to a great year with a lot of fun.

We began by learning how to produce a sound on each instrument.  The very first note played by each group was recorded and will be played at the concert at the end of the year.  Hopefully you will notice a great improvement!

Band meets every Monday and Wednesday.  Even if your child forgets an instrument, they should report to band.  You never know what crazy thing you might learn, even without an instrument.

This program allows students to create and write their own music, listen to different styles of music, create ballet and hip-hop dance moves, make composer statues talk, learn about instruments, watch videos, and so much more.  It is a Pre-K through 6th grade program and really has too much in it to fully describe it here.  Try it at home...I'm sure you will love it, too!

Mr. Jedju meets Quaver in Charleston, WV, at the annual WV Music Educator's Association Conference.
