John Ebert will be hosting an ACT Math Prep Class on Sunday, September 6th, in the BMS LGI, from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Students must register at http://www.johnebertmathactprep.com prior to attending this free course.
The ACT will be given on September 12, 2020. The registration deadline is August 14, with late fees accepted until August 28. Students will need to register at http://www.actstudent.org/regist/dates.html. Updated Calendar Information from Pierpont Community & Technical College: Pierpont’s fall semester will begin one week earlier from the original start date. The fall semester will begin on Monday, August 17, 2020. This semester will be 15 weeks long and will conclude on November 20th. Finals will begin on November 16th and continue throughout that week. Students will leave prior to Thanksgiving and will not return until the spring semester. This will be an extended break prior to spring, so our community can continue to stay safe during the late fall months. At the conclusion of winter break, the spring 2021 semester will begin on Monday, January 25, 2021. This date is 14 days later than the original academic schedule. The semester is tentatively scheduled to continue through May 14th, at the conclusion of finals week.
ACT Math Prep Class on Sunday, June 7, hosted by John Ebert has been cancelled.
Harrison County Schools are currently applying for a West Virginia Nita M. Lowery 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) After-school Program Grant.
This is a highly competitive federal grant provided through the WVDE, however Harrison County has an exceptional previous success rate for receiving funding. If funded, this grant will provide enriching after-school programming that directly aligns with standards taught during the regular school day. Programming focus will be for the high school level with proposed after-school sites located at Liberty, Lincoln and Robert C. Byrd High Schools. In accordance with ESEA Title IV Part B Section 4204(b)(2)(L), we are sharing our intent to apply with our community. After submission of the application, it will be available for public review upon request.
