What can I say about teaching...I absolutely LOVE it!  Teaching is a very rewarding career with the ability to encourage and motivate students to become successful in life!

I am married and just had a beautiful baby girl in February.  We live in Bridgeport.  I originally grew up in Clarksburg.  I graduated from West Virginia University from the Benedum 5-Year Teaching Program with a Masters in Reading, a Masters in Elementary Education, and a Bachelors in Multidisciplinary Studies.  I have taught preschool for 2 years and I have been teaching kindergarten at Wilsonburg Elementary for 7 years.

I am a mentor teacher for WVU and have been involved with WVU's Professional Development School network as a professional development coordinator for Wilsonburg.  I have attended seminars and present some professional development projects to various teachers in the state.  I enjoy having WVU students in my classroom and training them for when they have their own classroom.

If you need to contact me, the best time is during my planning period.  It is Monday-Friday from 10:15 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

ABCya is a website that allows students to play educational games on their level. It also allows students to go up to the next grade level to play games.

Starfall allows students to practice phonics skills, as well as read stories with kindergarten level sight words.

ABCmouse has wonderful games. You just need to sign up for a membership.

Raz Kids provides stories for your child to read. It also asks comprehension questions. Your child can build his/her own robot by earning points. So in other words, the more your child reads, the more points he/she can get!

Go Noodle has wonderful physical activities that are perfect for a quick "brain break" or gross motor activities.
