BEE LSIC MEETING MINUTES
September 23, 2025

Present: Donny Powell, Bobbi Jo Harbert, Kelley Adkins, Marian Cummings, Amy Raines, Sandy Wilcox, Erica Yacenech
Mr. Powell welcomed everyone and thanked them for being part of the LSIC.
Old Business
Election of Professional and Service staff members – Held on August 12, 2026: Kelley Adkins, Amy Raines, Marian Cummings (Professional Staff) and Jerry Garrison (Service Staff)
Election of Parents – Held on September 7, 2025: Amanda Adams, Sandy Wilcox, and Erica Yacenech
Election of Officers

Members reviewed LSIC training, including membership, parent and community leader goals, by-laws, and meeting rules.
Beginning of the Year Test Data
Members received I-Ready reading and math data for each grade level.
They talked about the scores, including areas growing and areas needing work.
Mr. Powell said the schedule changes from last year will stay. The schedule makes sure all students get core teaching with the general education teacher.
Staff will keep working with the Math and Reading Curriculum Specialists for training and classroom support.
Data Days will be held October 22 and October 23 from 3:00–4:30.
Two third-grade interventions were added to the third-grade classrooms.
BRAIN will begin in January for students in grades 3–5. It will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays.
