Lost Creek School Improvement Council Meeting

II. Discussion of Past Projects
The meeting focused on remaining improvement projects for the school gym. Current budget balance: $3,119.11.
- The next phase involves ordering wall padding for student safety.
- Pads will be placed on the lower part of long and diagonal walls in the gym.
- Each pad will display a letter from the word LONGHORN, using Option #5 (shadowed letters, 18 feet long).
- Pipe insulation will be added around safety cages over the fire alarm.
- Funding options were discussed. It was decided to use the remaining Sacred Heart balance and request PTA assistance for the remaining $443.39.
III. Picnic Tables
Mr. Cox will inspect the picnic tables for repairs and report back at the next meeting.
IV. Safety Concerns
Review of previous meeting's safety discussion.
V. Topics for Focus for 2025–2026
- Mrs. Trent proposed a mural in the hallway leading to the cafeteria.
- Mr. Toothman, SHHS art teacher, may involve students in painting Lost Creek historical landmarks (e.g., depot, old school).
- High school students previously visited to view the first-grade art exhibit.
- The mural idea will be considered in the next school year.

Mrs. Trent discussed evaluations and closing procedures for the end of the school year.
