It is hard to believe the first nine weeks is drawing to a close! The first nine weeks ends on Wednesday, October 16th. We would like to thank our entire LMS family—faculty, staff, students, parents, and guardians—for a positive opening to the school year.
Our school website has some great information that will help you keep informed about what is going on at LMS. On our website, you will find a link to LiveGrades. Please use this valuable tool to stay informed of your child’s grades, attendance, and communication with your child’s teacher for any questions, concerns, or compliments. Every child received login information from their homeroom teacher. If your child did not bring this login home to you, contact your child’s homeroom teacher to request another copy. The Lincoln Middle School Facebook page is also an excellent resource for information and pictures of our student!
It is a proven fact that attendance is vital to a student’s academic success. Any student returning after an absence is required to bring an excuse. These excuses can be a note from a parent (5 per semester) or a physician (unlimited number of excuses). This must be done within five days of the absence for the absence to be excused. Any student with unexcused absences or tardies will not be permitted to attend extra school activities such as dances, plays, concerts, or monthly attendance rewards. For your convenience we have a tardy/absent note submission link right on our school website that allows your child’s excuse is emailed to our secretaries. Scan QR Code to the right for direct access.
Lastly, we would also like to thank the voters of Harrison County for providing the levy funds that provide for supplies for our students and allows our students and senior citizens to attend in county, non-tournament athletic events free of charge. Students MUST have their school ID for free admission. We suggest students take a picture of their ID with their phones in case it becomes lost as they can also show their phone to the gate workers.
