The meeting was called to order at 3:00 PM by Dr. Petitto. The attendance sheet was distributed. A motion was made by Dr. Petitto to use the sign-in sheet as the roll call. Dr. Cooper seconded the motion. The motion carried. There were 12 members in attendance.
Dr. Petitto made a motion to dispense with the reading of the November 3, 2025 minutes. Melissa Simons seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Principal’s Report
Safety Updates
The new playground has been completed. The principals are working on a spring schedule.
The new alert system has been installed, and training is pending.
A work order has been placed to paint the front steps for better visibility. Weather is delaying completion.
Code drills will continue as schedule and weather allow.
Fire drill exit times are on target. Evacuation routes for kindergarten and preschool will continue to be reviewed.
Thanks to the Town of Nutter Fort for snow and ice removal in the drop-off lane.
Mr. Paul and Mrs. Ruth were recognized for deicing sidewalks and parking lots.
A request was made to the BOE for window transparency film and repairs.
A work order has been placed to repair a hole in the parent parking lot.
PBIS Updates
Teachers continue to use LEAD tracking sheets for behavior monitoring.
The second 9-week PBIS reward used a classroom “clubs” model.
The third 9-week reward will be bowling at Alley 304 on March 12–13.
The fourth 9-week reward will be at The Bridge in May.
Upcoming Events
The Lion’s Club reads to second grade classes on Tuesdays.
The Lion’s Club will present flags to first grade on February 20.
Winter parties were successful for all grade levels.
Valentine’s Day parties: Pre-K on Feb. 12, K–2 on Feb. 13.
Hero’s Haven for first grade is rescheduled for March 9–11.
Academic Updates
The Strategic Plan is being completed for FY27.
MOY benchmarking is in progress. iReady must be completed by Feb. 5.
WIN Time continues for grades K–2 with grade-level focus areas.
The FY26 attendance goal has been met.
Discipline Data
Total students on campus: 525
First semester OSS incidents: 18 involving 9 students.
Second Chance classroom served 48 students during first semester.
Positive note: 11 students did not return to Second Chance after the first 9 weeks.
