This week, we are excited to spotlight John Shaffer, one of our school counselors!
Mr. Shaffer says the best part of working at Nutter Fort Primary is simply the students. He especially enjoys watching them grow in so many ways throughout their time at NFP, from Pre-K through second grade. Mr. Shaffer hopes every student knows that there are many adults in our school who genuinely care about them and that they can always feel comfortable asking for help when they need it.
Through counseling services, Mr. Shaffer supports the social and emotional well-being of our students, provides a safe and welcoming space, and helps connect students and families with support and resources when needed.
When asked to describe Nutter Fort Primary in one word, Mr. Shaffer chose “team-oriented,” a perfect reflection of the Fort Family and the way our staff works together to support every student.
