8th Grade Night sign

This new school year at Bridgeport Middle School has many events going on!

Starting off in August, we had a Jersey Dance, which many students in BMS attended.

Coming up in September, we have many fun events planned. The month kicked off with many of our teams participating in the BHS Homecoming Parade.

Still to come this month: On September 25th, 2025, the 7th and 8th grade students of BMS will have a day at the City Park to celebrate their outstanding academic scores on the previous year's state test!

Lastly, we have 8th Grade Night for all 8th grade student athletes that attend BMS to be recognized. Football, Cross Country, and Cheer athletes will be recognized on September 23.

Football players Jackson Leary and Austin Jolley say they are excited, nervous, and stressed about getting announced. Meanwhile, Kaara Knepper (cross country/cheer) and Stella Bealko (cheer) explained how they are very excited and they have been waiting since sixth grade for this night after seeing all previous 8th grade students be recognized.

Boys and Girls Soccer will be recognized on September 22. Soccer players Peyton Muncy and Mya Belcastro say they are excited, nervous, and happy they are 8th graders now.

Lastly, on October 8th there a 8th Grade Night for all of the 8th grade volleyball players. When asked, Lilly Altman (volleyball) explains that she is thrilled for the new season and that she is very excited for October 8th.

These are just a few of the many events planned for BMS year 2025-2026, and there are many more planned and to look forward to!
