Bridgeport Middle School once again hosted the Region 10 Band Festival on Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26.
The 7th/8th Grade Band as well as the 6th Grade Band performed at the festival, which featured bands from Harrison, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, and Taylor counties.
Each band performs two pieces selected from the WV Graded Music list and is adjudicated by a panel of three judges.
This year, the 7th and 8th Grade Band performed “Fireball” by Brian Beck and “The Witch and the Saint” by Steven Reineke. They earned Superior ratings from all three judges.
The 6th Grade Band performed “Alpha Squadron” by Greg Hillis and “Gettysburg” by Brian Balmages. They also received straight Superior (I) ratings from the judges.
