Principal’s Report
Discipline Updates: There were more discipline issues at the beginning of the year than last year. There has been 1 After-School Detention and 16 students with Second Chance Referrals. Of those 16 students, four students receive behavior intervention with Mr. Devono (1 third grade, 1 preschool, 3 kindergarten, and 1 second grade) and with Mrs. Katrina Cunningham (1 preschool and 1 second grade). There have also been a total of 9 days of Out of School Suspension for 3 students. Mrs. Jones shared that she will work on a flow chart to explain how discipline should be handled and when an issue should be an immediate office referral.
Officer/Committee Reports
A motion was made to move Officer/Committee Reports to the next meeting.
Items to be Discussed
Holiday Help: The school donated 14 Christmas dinners to families. Eleven students participated in the Angel Luv program. Students signed up for Shop with a Cop were not able to attend because the event was canceled due to weather. The canned food drive was not very successful, with only three people picking up items. Miss Alexa handled the Coat Drive, and all students who signed up received coats. (Meighan Jones)
Winter Bazaar: The Winter Bazaar was very successful. Eleven vendors participated. The school raised $186 from pictures with Santa and $210 from concessions. The group discussed possibly holding another bazaar in the spring. (PTA organized, shared by Meighan Jones)
