  1. Call Meeting to Order: Kim Cunningham called the meeting to order.

  2. Roll Call: Makailyn Smith, Kim Cunningham, Meighan Jones, and Heather Wilkins

  3. Reading and Approval of Minutes: Meighan Jones read the meeting notes from last meeting. Meeting notes were accepted.

  4. Principal’s Report:

    1. Attendance Update – The average attendance is 94.4% prior to the meeting. On the meeting day it was 94.1%. This time last year it was 95.7%. Prior to the meeting 13.04% of our students were chronically absent. As of yesterday, it was 13.79%. This time last year it was 17.1%. There have been 3 truancy meetings, 36 three-day calls, and 10 five-day calls. We are looking at ways to increase attendance schoolwide and in individual classrooms.

  5. Officer/Committee Reports: A motion was made to move Officer/Committee Reports to the next meeting.

  6. Items to be Discussed:

    1. Attendance Kick-Off – As a way to get our attendance to increase, we are coming up with fun incentives. A Family Fun Night basket will be raffled off on March 19th. Students who missed one or fewer days between February 17th to March 19th will have their name entered into the drawing. We are looking at having an AttenDANCE. More information will be coming out later (Meighan Jones). Nurse Kim Cunningham is going to work with parents of chronically ill and absent students (Kim Cunningham).

    2. Testing Updates – All Middle of the Year benchmarks have been completed. On Tuesday, March 3rd, our 4th grade students will be taking the NAEP test (Meighan Jones).

    3. General Updates – PreK Registration will be held March 6th from 9:30am–12:00pm. Game Changers are having a presentation on March 12th starting at 1:00pm as a reward. There will be a storyteller that day for the students.

  7. Motions, Orders, Resolutions, Ordinances and Measures Proposed: No motions, orders, resolutions, ordinances, or measures proposed.

  8. Announcements: Next Meeting will be held on April 16th.

  9. Adjournment: Makailyn Smith made a motion to close the meeting and Michelle Kiser seconded it. The meeting ended at 3:30.
