Refocus, Reset, and Practice Gratitude
We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! As we move into November, it’s a great time to refocus and reset. The excitement of the fall season can make routines a little tricky, so this week, encourage your student to get back into good habits—regular sleep, balanced meals, and consistent homework time all help support strong learning and positive moods.
We’ll also be spending time this month talking about gratitude and kindness—two small things that make a big difference in how we feel and how we treat others. Ask your child what they’re thankful for this week and share something you’re grateful for too!

A little about Mr. Hawk:
I have a Master of Arts in Counseling from West Virginia University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Fairmont State University. I also attended Potomac State College of WVU.
I live in Harrison County with my wife, Rebecca, and our dog, Jovi. In my free time, I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family, friends, and following WVU sports!
