What are ICE packets?
ICE packets are work completed by students on an “ICE Packet” day. The work is a paper-and-pencil packet and is provided to families in October. Families will receive ICE packets from:
Classroom teachers
Planning Teachers
Title I staff
Special Education Staff (if applicable)
How do you know when to complete an ICE packet?
When school is called off, the Superintendent states it the day is a “ Snowday ,” which means NO work is needed. When school is called off and the Superintendent states the day is an “ICE” day, WORK Must Be completed. (ONLY 1 day of work for each day called)
When are ICE Packets Due?
When an ICE packet day is called, ICE packets should be completed and returned to the school when students return. Staff give 3 days after the ICE day to turn it in before points will not be given for the work.
How many ICE days can the county have?
The county can call up to 5 ICE days a year. Each day, called an ICE day, the student should complete 1 day of the ICE packet.
