Arrival and Dismissal Procedures:
Students will be dismissed to class at 7:31 am from the bus room in the morning. The tardy bell now rings at 7:35 am.
Walkers can be dropped off starting at 7:00 am in front of the school. Students will enter through the side door on the left side of the building until 7:35 am. After 7:35 am, you must enter through the front door.
1st to 5th grade Walkers will be dismissed at 2:15 pm. Please wait in the designated area until the staff member sends you around the bus loop to the door.
Pre-K and Kindergarten will be dismissed from the Front doors in the loop at 2:15 pm. An adult over 18 years old must sign them out. Please stay in your cars; a staff member will escort your child to the car.
Parents must send a note in the morning if their child’s normal dismissal procedure will be different. If a student is going home with another student, we must have notes from both parents stating it is approved. The teacher and principal must sign the notes. Students must have a signed note before going on a different bus and/or being released with a different person.
If changes with dismissal occur after your child leaves home, please be sure to notify the school before 1:30 pm to ensure your child receives the message before dismissal occurs.
Safety is a concern, and some new procedures will be implemented to ensure students' safety during school hours:
Ensuring safety is our primary concern; therefore, all parents must drop students off at the front door. Parents are not permitted to walk their child to class.
If parents need to enter the building to drop off items, they must check in with staff at the front door and will be taken to the classroom
Parents are not allowed in classrooms after 7:35 am unless an appointment has been made with the classroom teacher.
If someone who is not on the pick-up list checks out your child, please be sure to send a note. Please be sure anyone picking up your child brings photo identification.
If there is someone who is not allowed to pick up your child due to a court order, please be sure to indicate that information on the emergency card and provide the office with the court documents and photos.
If your child has an appointment or must be checked out prior to dismissal, please come to the front door and ring the buzzer an office staff member will assist you.
