
Mountaineer Madness is underway! Mountaineer Madness is based on lessons passed and pass rate on weekly iReady by each 6th period. Teams will compete weekly through Spring Break with a chance to claim the CHAMPIONSHIP!
The 6th grade has started out strong, but we look for a stronger showing in Week 2 from the 7th and 8th grades. See the bracket to find out if your team was a winner.
As an individual highlight, Jayden Thompson looks like the MVP after Week 1 recording more than 20 lesson in both Math and ELA along with an above 90% pass rate.


Popcorn Friday 50 cents. Friendship grams are due by Tuesday morning at 8am

Dance tomorrow, February 7th, from 3 pm-5 pm and boosters meeting @ 5 pm.
In order to attend the dance, you couldn't miss more than 3 days in January and have no ISS/OSS.

We have become aware of a prank call to the police about an active shooter at Robert C. Byrd High School. Law enforcement agencies have cleared the building and have determined it to be a non-credible threat. At no time was the health and safety of the students and staff compromised.

Parents: Reminder that Progress Reports come home today. If you have any questions feel free to contact the school. Have a great Thanksgiving and we will see students again on November 28th.

MMS Reminder: Students wanting to attend the teacher v. student on Thursday need to turn in their $2.00 to go to the game to their AA teacher by Thursday morning.

Check out the College and Career Fair this Thursday at Liberty HS gym from 6 to 8 p.m. to learn about the colleges, schools, jobs, and careers that are out there and available to you! There will be a drawing for a Cash Scholarship and Prizes to be awarded to students who attend, that's this coming Thursday from 6 to 8 at Liberty HS gym. This week we celebrate National School Psychology Week. “Together We Shine” is this year’s theme as a way of hope after the last few challenging years through the pandemic, social injustice, economic strains, and mental/physical health. This week and every week, our team of school psychologists will work to promote positive change in all areas of leadership in the counseling room, the classroom, the community, and beyond.
