Dear Parent/Guardian,
All Preschool and Kindergarten students who have not been screened previously, all students new to WV schools, and all students who are “at risk” will be screened for speech and language skills during the first 45 days of enrollment. Should your child need referred for further Articulation/Language testing, you will be notified by your building’s speech pathologist.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these screenings, please feel free to contact the Harrison County Schools’ Special Education Office.
Harrison County Schools will operate on a 3-hour early dismissal on Monday, June 5, 2023.

We have become aware of a prank call to the police about an active shooter at Robert C. Byrd High School. Law enforcement agencies have cleared the building and have determined it to be a non-credible threat. At no time was the health and safety of the students and staff compromised.

Check out the College and Career Fair this Thursday at Liberty HS gym from 6 to 8 p.m. to learn about the colleges, schools, jobs, and careers that are out there and available to you! There will be a drawing for a Cash Scholarship and Prizes to be awarded to students who attend, that's this coming Thursday from 6 to 8 at Liberty HS gym.
