Chair: Matt McCullough called meeting to order.

Old Business:
Principal's Update: As per Harrison County Schools Office Administration, there will be no I.S.S. (In School Suspension) to be utilized at United High School. The expectation is that suspensions will increase as well as behavior interventions. Ytd. UHS has seen one - three - and five day suspensions. One day for violation of the cell phone policy, Three days for second offense with a nicotine vape. Five day suspension for disruptive and disrespectful behavior.
In response to a bus driver's request, five minutes has been added to UHS's P.M. bell schedule.
Progress Reports will be mailed on 09/08/26.
Enrollment: 200
New Superintendent will begin 10/01/26. (Transition Phase).
New Business:
P.B.I.S. Committee has planned several activities for first semester with the assistance of Matt McCullough and Kayla Smith. Mr. McCullough will "Chair" Fall Fest scheduled for Friday, 10/23/26. Activities will include a kettle korn demonstration, a football toss, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Kayla Smith will organize the "Phoenix Thrift" on 11/18/26.
Halloween Spirit Week is scheduled for 10/26/26 - 10/30/26.
Holiday Spirit week is scheduled for 12/14/26 - 12/18/26.
Under cover Spirit Days for teachers has also been discussed.
First six weeks Reward for students will be a free item from the vending machine, complements of the Work Program.
Project Fundraising: Barbie Clutter will seek continued support from Dan Cava Toyota for a possible holiday surprise for UHS students. Sweatshirts were discussed as well as UHS's Jingle Surprise in December 2026.
