Summer Trends
Coming up this May, to many students’ relief, is summer break! While summer is a refreshing break from school, there’s one challenge students often face: boredom. But don’t worry—there are plenty of fun activities you can do to make your summer exciting!
Outdoor Fun
If you love the outdoors, here are some activities that will get you moving and enjoying the sunshine:
Take a walk to the park with friends. It’s healthy, gives you vitamin D, and is a great way to relax.
Try fast-paced sports like pickleball, tennis, baseball, or basketball for an extra rush of energy.
Indoor Fun
Not an outdoor person? No problem—there are plenty of indoor activities too!
Have a movie marathon or dive into a good book series.
Get creative with art projects or try cooking new recipes.
Gather friends or family for a board game night.
Make Summer Count
So, when boredom strikes this summer, don’t sit inside all day. Whether you’re outside playing your favorite sport or inside watching movies and learning something new, there are endless ways to stay entertained.
This summer, keep it fun, keep it active, and most importantly—don’t let boredom win!

BMS Bulletin - School Events
The students and staff at BMS are almost halfway through the fourth nine weeks, and the school year is quickly coming to an end. But there are still plenty of fun events happening!
Bingo Reward
On April 4, 2025, BMS students enjoyed their Bingo Reward celebration. This reward recognizes students who have either earned a 3.0 GPA or higher or improved their grade by 0.5 points. It’s a great way to honor hard work and progress!
Spring Fling
Later this month, students will get to attend the annual Spring Fling. Each year, this event has a special theme, and this year’s theme is the 90s! Expect to see bright neon colors, crazy hairstyles, and fun retro vibes as students celebrate together.
Stay tuned for more updates on school events as we finish out the year strong at BMS!

Teacher of the Month – April 2025
For April, we asked our Teachers of the Month:
“Why did you choose to teach the subject you do teach?”
Here’s what they had to say:
Mrs. Martin – Science
“I had a great junior high science teacher named Mr. Broslawsky who taught me a lot.”
Mrs. Kelley – Social Studies
“The reason I became a Social Studies teacher is because my parents took me on vacation every summer for two weeks, all over the United States, and I visited all but seven states.”
Mx. Goff – Math
“My college professor said that I should get into mathematics and asked if I liked the subject, and she said I should teach it. I said ok and started teaching math.”
Mrs. Lopez – Science
“I got my degree in Science and Education and it was my favorite subject. I thought about going into the medical field, but I didn’t like being in the hospital or being around sick people, so I switched to education.”
Congratulations to our April Teachers of the Month! 🎉 Thank you for inspiring BMS students every day and for sharing your love of learning with us.
