Orientation for incoming 6th graders and new students is Tuesday, Aug. 13, from 3-6pm. BMS Boosters will be set up for any parent who would like to become a member and to sell Braves apparel. Be sure to bring cash for these purchases if you wish. We look forward to meeting our new BMS students!

BMS Student Council is hosting a collection for CASA's Superhero 5k Run. Please donate water, Gatorade or granola bars for those participants. This helps neglected or abused children in Harrison and Marion counties. All donations are greatly appreciated! Bring items to BMS through April 30.

The Bridgeport Middle School Student Council is hosting its seventh annual Hunger Games Food Drive, taking place now through Thursday, November 16. We are collecting canned and boxed food items such as soups, granola bars, instant oatmeal, Ramen noodles, canned vegetables, bottled water, etc. Have your child bring these items into their homeroom class. The winning grade level will receive an extra intramural day.
Last year, we collected over 1500 items for the Horizons Church food pantry. Our goal is to exceed that number this year with your help! The Bridgeport Middle School student council thanks you for all of your support on this fundraiser and all of our other community activities!

In order to be eligible for the 2nd 9 weeks movie rewards, students cannot have ANY unexcused absences. During this 9 week period, please make sure to submit all parent and doctor notes within 3 days of your absence.
Students who would like to participate in donating to Operation Christmas Child this year, please bring any items to the counseling office beginning Monday, October 16th. We will be collecting donations until Wednesday, November 1st. For every item you donate, students will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win one of two available prizes. The winners will be announced on Thursday, November 2nd. Please stop by the counseling office if you have any questions about what possible items could be donated for this cause.
