Good Evening, Little Indians!
On Wednesday, March 19th, one of our Third Graders has decided to demonstrate courage and strength by shaving her head for a close family friend that lost her fight to childhood cancer at the age of 16 last year. She has elected to do this with students in grades 3rd - 5th. Her hair will be donated to children impacted with hair loss to fashion wigs. As a parent / guardian of a child in 3rd - 5th grade, please let your child's teacher know if you are uncomfortable with their participation in the assembly. We completely understand your decision and will have supervision during that time.
On Tuesday, March 18th, we will be having a schoolwide hat day. Students will be asked to bring a $1.00 to participate and may wear their favorite hat all day. We would like to show support not only to the child for showing bravery, but by donating money from Hat Day to Alex's Lemonade Stand. Alex's Lemonade Stand is an organization that utilizes ALL donations for childhood cancer research. For more information about Alex's Lemonade stand and to learn about their mission and history, please visit https://www.alexslemonade.org/about/our-mission-history. There is a brief mission statement and video.

Mark your calendars! Simpson Elementary's Local School Improvement Council will engage our Stakeholders at an annual meeting on March 27, 2025 at 5:30 PM in our cafeteria.

TODAY is party day at Simpson Elementary School. Party volunteers are asked to park in the Joy Lot, cafeteria lot, Simpson Creek Church, or at the Church of Christ.
Please Do NOT utilize the main parking lot at BUMC or marked spots designated for PreK. Parties will be tomorrow at BUMC as well. We do not want to do anything to jeopardize our relationship as we rely solely on them and our partnership for parking.
When parking, please be in a marked parking space and be attentive when leaving to avoid accidents / congestion. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

On behalf of Simpson Elementary School staff and students, we would like to take a moment to send a heartfelt thank you to those who continually support our weekly backpack program!
Simpson Creek Baptist Church has donated over $1000 toward the program so far this year!
Ridge View Church has donated both gift cards and food!
Fellowship Bible Church is our right hand! They supply us with packed bags each month, including storing and shopping for items.
The Bridgeport Junior Women's Club provided food bags for ALL holiday breaks.
Food has also been donated by students at FSU as well other individuals and families in our Simpson area.
Our program absolutely wouldn't be successful without these groups. We appreciate and are sincerely blessed with their continued support and dedication to our community.

Reminders: RSVP forms for the Veterans Day breakfast are due back this Friday. We cannot accept late RSVP’s for this event.
We invite all Simpson families to submit photos of their Veterans or Active Duty family members for the slideshow that will be played during the program. Please include their name, branch, years of service, and the student’s name and email to simpsonelempta@gmail.com. Submissions are due on Friday.
