Some of our students have confessed to staying up too late! Some are sneaking to play video games. Others do not have a set bedtime. They are coming to school sleepy, and not focused. Please help by setting a bedtime, and sticking to it as best you can. Thank you!

Ways for adults to calm down include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Timing yourself out in your bedroom.

  • Taking deep breaths.

  • Listening to music.

  • Counting to 10, or to 100, if you need to.

  • Talking to someone.

  • Walking.

  • Hitting a pillow.

You can also make a calm down corner for your child with pillows, blankets (maybe make a fort), books, etc. so they will have a place to go to settle down. We have these at school, and they do work. Take care!

Summer Newsletter. June, July, August 2025.
Good Evening, Little Indians. The weather for tomorrow is showing rain off and on all day with temperatures in the low 50s and the feel like in the high 40s. Please ensure your child is dressed in appropriate weather shoes and clothing that includes layers. Please bring a water bottle and if possible, a small cinch bag. Kindergarten - First grade students are participating for a half day and will return to school. If for some reason we need to move inside due to weather, we will have access to some areas in the Bridge to execute activities. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. We want to make this a memorable and engaging experience for ALL!

Good Evening, Little Indians! On Wednesday, March 19th, one of our Third Graders has decided to demonstrate courage and strength by shaving her head for a close family friend that lost her fight to childhood cancer at the age of 16 last year. She has elected to do this with students in grades 3rd - 5th. Her hair will be donated to children impacted with hair loss to fashion wigs. As a parent / guardian of a child in 3rd - 5th grade, please let your child's teacher know if you are uncomfortable with their participation in the assembly. We completely understand your decision and will have supervision during that time. On Tuesday, March 18th, we will be having a schoolwide hat day. Students will be asked to bring a $1.00 to participate and may wear their favorite hat all day. We would like to show support not only to the child for showing bravery, but by donating money from Hat Day to Alex's Lemonade Stand. Alex's Lemonade Stand is an organization that utilizes ALL donations for childhood cancer research. For more information about Alex's Lemonade stand and to learn about their mission and history, please visit https://www.alexslemonade.org/about/our-mission-history. There is a brief mission statement and video.
