We have become aware of a prank call to the police about an active shooter at Robert C. Byrd High School. Law enforcement agencies have cleared the building and have determined it to be a non-credible threat. At no time was the health and safety of the students and staff compromised.

There will be a drawing for a Cash Scholarship and Prizes to be awarded to students who attend, that's this coming Thursday from 6 to 8 at Liberty HS gym. This week we celebrate National School Psychology Week. “Together We Shine” is this year’s theme as a way of hope after the last few challenging years through the pandemic, social injustice, economic strains, and mental/physical health. This week and every week, our team of school psychologists will work to promote positive change in all areas of leadership in the counseling room, the classroom, the community, and beyond.

To wrap up a unit on Arthur Miller's play "The Crucible," about the events of the Salem Witch Trials, United High students in Mrs. Clutter's English class held a mock funeral for one of the main characters. The students created elegies for the character and presented them to the class.
