Reports for the Meeting:
Principal – Mr. Sears and Mr. Edwards (assistant principals) went through the principal’s report and discussed the updated items: See Attached Principal’s Report
Additions to Principals Report:
Athletics – updates to sound system, timing systems, and updates to softball and baseball fields, golf cart to help transport, regionals coming up for Spring sports
Curriculum – SAT scores came in, Personal Finance class has been updated – waiting on Policy 2510 to update, FFA Chapter Banquet
Community – Supportive of the school, seem to be happy with how the school is being ran
Service – N/A
Parents – No concerns, students seem to be happy with the school and activities
Arts – Music/Theater – Looking forward to nationals for thespians
Teachers – Everything seems to be going smooth
Update from Subcommittee regarding new tax laws and fundraising: Anna Matheny and Shawn Long
Spoke with several state legislators about the issue
Continuing to work towards a solution
For now, many legislators have said that the schools need to create new groups to fundraise in order to give them more options
Fred Ware made a motion to end the meeting

Principal’s Report for LSIC- May 2025
I apologize for not being present for the last meeting of the year. I am needing to be excused to attend my son’s track meet.
Prom was a success. The after Prom hosted by parents was wonderful, there was over $15,000 in prizes awarded.
Greenhouse sales have been happening for FFA/Greenhouse classes as simulated workplace. The sales have ended this past weekend.

Curriculum updates from Mr. Edwards- SAT test April 9
Attendance report- Whole year we have had 93.477% attendance.
Also, officially reported we had a 7% decrease in chronic absences last school year, this data was just released in our strategic plan for next year’s planning.
