Byrd Feeding Burg with your cooperation

Robert C. Byrd High School (RCB) students are coming together Monday, May 5 through Friday, May 9th to help people in need through a special new project called Byrd Feeding Burg. Many families in Clarksburg don’t have enough food or a warm place to stay. This project gives RCB students the chance to make a real difference by donating baking ingredients that will be turned into sweet treats for those in need.

What Is Byrd Feeding Burg?
Byrd Feeding Burg is a civic engagement project just for RCB students. Students can bring in ingredients to help the Byrd Feeder, who will use them to bake goodies for people in the community who could use a little extra care and kindness.

How Can RCB Students Help?
It’s easy to be a part of this project! During Spirit Week, RCB students can bring in certain food items that match each day’s theme. All items should be turned in to Cameron Bruce in the Elevator Lobby.

RCB Spirit Week Schedule:

  • Milk Monday – Wear White!
    Bring in whole milk.

  • Sweet Tuesday – Wear Bright Colors!
Bring in sugar, brown sugar, or chocolate treats like chocolate chips or Hershey’s Kisses.

  • Wet Wednesday – Wear Pool Clothes!
Bring in wet ingredients like butter, eggs, canola oil, or more milk.

  • Dry Thursday – Wear Summer Clothes!
Bring in dry ingredients like baking powder, baking soda, or more sugar.

  • Flour Friday – Wear Floral or Green!
Bring in all-purpose flour or any last-minute ingredients you can donate.

This project is a great way for RCB students to show school spirit and help their community at the same time. Let’s all work together to make Byrd Feeding Burg a big success!
