Principal’s Report
Construction projects include cafeteria expansion, Mrs. Pool’s room, and a new agricultural classroom, in that order. Bids for the cafeteria expansion go out in January 2026 with an estimated start date of October 2026. Work on the expansion will take place during evenings and weekends.

Food drive sponsored by Student Council
Mrs. Kutassy’s room brought in the most food and will be rewarded with breakfast
Food donations to show choir
Mrs. McNemar challenged community members to fill tote bags with listed items before Thanksgiving

Weekly food boxes placed in student lockers by Mrs. Miller on Fridays
Jingle Gifts
Christmas items cost $10 or less for students. Homerooms will be called down to select an item. 350 items have been donated so far, including socks, blankets, snacks, fidgets, and pens.
Concerns, Suggestions, and Issues Raised
Discipline: Will be discussed at the next meeting.
Evolution / United Students: Managing students at the beginning and end of the day. A new Director of Transportation is reviewing bus routes.
Teacher consistency: Discussed during the Block Party. Classroom management and availability of PRO officers and administration were addressed.
Staff discouraged from writing students up: Discussed during the Block Party.
Lunch cleanup: Depends on the menu. Students may be held until the cafeteria is clean.
Scheduling and Staffing
The schedule for next school year will remain the same due to cafeteria issues. The state is over the state aid formula for staffing. January and February meetings will be held between principals and the county office.
Announcements
Amy Howe was awarded a $601 grant from Your Community Foundation to purchase a countertop distiller for her Biology lab.
Art Awards
1st Place Craft: Miyako Cole – “From Across the Street”
2nd Place Craft: Maria Roselius – “In My Violet Era”
2nd Place Drawing: Dakota White – “The Flight”
3rd Place Drawing: Hayden Barbina – “Bottled Up Feelings”
Tamia Lewis earned an Honorable Mention at the Forest Festival.
RCB won all but two awards at the State Self-Portrait Competition at Shepherd University.
Band Achievements
RCB Band selected for the National Independence Day Parade on July 4, 2026 in Washington, DC
Megan Sutton selected for the Rose Parade All-American Marching Band
RCB Marching Band will perform in multiple Christmas parades
Band Winter Concert: December 16th at 6:30 PM
Orchestra Achievements
WVU Honors Orchestra Festival nominees: Kayla Ramirez, Lucas D’Anselmi, Tanner Conch
String Orchestra Concert: December 9th at 7:00 PM (includes Liberty Middle School)
