State testing will take place on March 22 for grades 9-11. Please ensure your child gets enough rest and is ready for the test. Please be on time. All cell phones and smart watches will be collected prior to the test and returned after the test has completed. Seniors will have an ICE day on March 22 and will not report to school.

We have become aware of a prank call to the police about an active shooter at Robert C. Byrd High School. Law enforcement agencies have cleared the building and have determined it to be a non-credible threat. At no time was the health and safety of the students and staff compromised.
RCB's annual Financial Aid Night has been scheduled for Tuesday, January 10th in the LGI at 5pm. Students will given information regarding financial aid as well as receiving assistance with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA).

This week we celebrate National School Psychology Week. “Together We Shine” is this year’s theme as a way of hope after the last few challenging years through the pandemic, social injustice, economic strains, and mental/physical health. This week and every week, our team of school psychologists will work to promote positive change in all areas of leadership in the counseling room, the classroom, the community, and beyond.
