The Harrison County Board of Education and Harrison County Sheriff’s Office have become aware of non-credible information that Friday’s incident at South Harrison Middle School involved the illicit drug Methamphetamine.
Law enforcement did take the extra steps to bring in K-9 teams from three different agencies to search the school. No drugs were found on the property.
In addition, the Sheriff’s Office Detectives, Bridgeport Detectives, along with the Drug Task Force deployed to UHC and spoke to the students. The students gave no accounts of any illicit drugs. Air quality levels have been checked by local authorities and the building has been cleared for occupancy.
