Marquez McGee and Ian Scroggs

From September 17th to 24th, Harrison County students Ian Scroggs and Marquez McGee attended Space Camp for Interested Visually Impaired Students at US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

Ian and Marquez had some great things to say about the program!

I was part of the West Virginia Space camp Teubert scholarship program and I would like to thank all that made it possible for me to go to space camp again. I had so much fun there the food was so good and the people there were so nice. My favorite part was make new friends and new experiences. My favorite part was the dunker it was so much fun and I hope to be able to attend again.

I attended Scivis space camp in 2022 in the mock three program. My favorite thing from camp this year was the experience of Mock three. I had so much fun in the program with my group, the Argunots. My favorite thing at camp this year was the Pamper pole. It was a very unique experience combining climbing, balance, a lot of team work and many other things. Without the West Virginia Space Camp Teubert Scholarship Program, this amazing opportunity for me and the rest of the WV group wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you for supporting and supplying our scholarships.
Thank you,
-
