Harrison County Schools is now accepting applications for a Network Administrator. This is a full-time, 250-day position with a salary based on experience, following the county’s professional salary schedule with supplemental pay for network engineers.

Job Overview

The Network Administrator will work with the Supervisor of Technology and Information, the Network Engineer, and other IT staff to keep the district’s network systems running smoothly and securely. This role is vital to protecting student data, supporting classroom technology, and making sure staff and students have reliable access to technology every day.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

  • At least five years of experience supporting Cisco-based networks in an enterprise or multi-site setting.

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, virtual server environments, and storage/server solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of network protocols like TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs.

  • Skills in network security, cybersecurity monitoring, and fiber network connectivity.

  • Current CCNA certification is preferred.

  • Knowledge of E-rate rules and West Virginia’s K-12 network is a plus.
