Hope Pathways Program Now Accepting Students for 2026

Interested in jump-starting a career in the ENERGY industry with real-world EXPERIENCE during high school?

A new partnership between Hope Gas, Harrison County Schools, and the Education Alliance offers an exciting opportunity for high school students. The Hope Pathways program is a two-year program that gives students hands-on training and real-world experience for a high-wage/high-skill career in the energy industry.

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦

  • A free two-year program open to current 10th graders (class of 2028) at Robert C Byrd High School (limited spots available).

  • Successful applicants will explore an energy path with onramps for Energy Specialists, Energy Apprenticeships, and other energy careers, and the opportunity to specialize in their senior year.

  • Starting in Fall 2026, students will take two CTE courses, including onsite experiences at the Hope Pathways Clarksburg classroom during their junior & senior years.

  • Students will complete an internship during the second semester of their senior year and have the opportunity to take a certification exam at the end of the program, as applicable.

  • Bus transportation to/from the classroom will be provided.
