Interested in jump-starting a career in the ENERGY industry with real-world EXPERIENCE during high school?
A new partnership between Hope Gas, Harrison County Schools, and the Education Alliance offers an exciting opportunity for high school students. The Hope Pathways program is a two-year program that gives students hands-on training and real-world experience for a high-wage/high-skill career in the energy industry.
𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦
A free two-year program open to current 10th graders (class of 2028) at Robert C Byrd High School (limited spots available).
Successful applicants will explore an energy path with onramps for Energy Specialists, Energy Apprenticeships, and other energy careers, and the opportunity to specialize in their senior year.
Starting in Fall 2026, students will take two CTE courses, including onsite experiences at the Hope Pathways Clarksburg classroom during their junior & senior years.
Students will complete an internship during the second semester of their senior year and have the opportunity to take a certification exam at the end of the program, as applicable.
Bus transportation to/from the classroom will be provided.
