CLARKSBURG - Students from Harrison County Schools earned top awards at the state Social Studies competition.
At Bridgeport Middle School, Liam Bennett and Finn Chavoustie placed 3rd in U.S. History. Their project was titled “Ohio: The State Congress Forgot to Hit Submit On.”
At Robert C. Byrd High School, Dylan Miller earned 2nd place in Anthropology. His project was called “Creepy, Kook, and Culturally Clever.”
South Harrison Middle School also had students recognized. Bruce Daugherty and Layuna Wilfong received Honorable Mention in Sociology for their project, “The People’s Temple – A Deadly Cult.”
