Meeting Information
The Harrison County Board of Education held its Organizational Meeting on July 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Board Room at 445 West Main Street in Clarksburg.
Meeting Opening
The meeting was called to order. The Pledge of Allegiance was moved to the next meeting, which was set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
New Business
Board President Selected
The board selected Frank Devono, Jr. to serve as president of the Harrison County Board of Education for the upcoming school year.
Board Vice President Selected
The board selected Mary Frances Smith to continue serving as vice president of the board.
United Technical Center Board Appointment
The board selected Mr. Hogue to continue serving on the United Technical Center Board.
Board Members’ Comments
Board members shared brief comments and congratulations. There was also a short discussion about whether another committee appointment was needed, but no action was taken.
Adjournment
The board voted to adjourn the meeting.
