The Harrison County Board of Education will hold a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Board Room, 445 West Main Street, Clarksburg.

Personnel Matters
The agenda includes 200+ day employment and personnel recommendations for professional, service, and extracurricular positions.
Preschool Partnerships
The Board will consider 2026-2027 Universal Preschool Program contracts with Cubby’s, Lasting Impressions, Mother Goose, and Central WV Community Action Head Start.
The contracts cover preschool classrooms and meal services.
Open Enrollment and Student Transfers
The consent agenda includes approvals and denials for resident and non-resident student transfers. These actions are required under House Bill 2596.
Teacher and Intern Placements
The Board will consider an agreement with Fairmont State University for the placement of clinical students, teacher candidates, student teachers, and resident teachers through June 30, 2027.
A separate agreement with West Virginia University will cover clinical placements, field placements, and internships from August 2026 through August 2031.
Recognitions and Presentations
Lumberport Elementary School and Liberty Middle School, identified on the agenda as CSI schools, will give an LSIC presentation.
David Mazzei, Lincoln High School head wrestling coach, is also scheduled to speak to the Board about coaches for girls wrestling.
