Long-term substitute staffing

Retired teachers and bus operators serving as long-term substitutes will be the focus of three yearly policy updates. The Board will consider updates to Policies 3120.12, 3120.13, and 4120.12, which address substitutes in areas of critical need and shortage.

Student promotion and the Third Grade Success Act

The proposed update will come before the Board for approval to begin a two-week public comment period. It will then return for final approval.

School-based health services

An agreement with Community Care WV will come before the Board for the 2026–2027 school year. The agreement would provide services through school-based health clinics in Harrison County Schools.

Annual financial presentation

The meeting will also include a presentation on the FY2026 Financial Statements.

These are five highlights from Tuesday’s agenda. Community members are invited to review the full agenda and watch the meeting for the Board’s discussion and actions.
