The primary goal of the Harrison County School District is to provide an optimal learning experience through in-person, 5-days per week instruction. On August 24, a policy was enacted requiring all students and staff in grades Pre-K -12 to wear facial coverings inside school buildings.
Given continuing high case rates within our schools and Harrison County, the indoor mask requirement will continue until Oct. 29, 2021, at which time the conditions will be reevaluated.
Thank you for your continuing support of this difficult decision. We are striving to keep students in-person 5 days per week and believe this is the best approach given the circumstances.
