Morgantown (Saturday, July 23rd 2022) – The South Harrison FFA Livestock Judging Team garnered a Runner-Up State Championship on a hot Saturday at West Virginia University’s Animal and Veterinary Science Farm in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Competitors were tasked with analyzing data, evaluating cattle, sheep and pigs and giving oral reasons to defend those evaluations to a panel of judges. The team consisted of 4th high individual Spencer Nolan, 7th high individual Madison Stonestreet, Michael Radcliff, and Ashley Martin.
Advisor John Lockhart said of the team “I am really proud of this group of students, they have worked exceptionally hard. . . this is the highest placing Harrison County Livestock Judging team since Liberty’s State Runner-Up in 1975".
