🏫 Call your local high school to set up a time.
📍 Stop by the Harrison County Board of Education central office Monday through Friday.

Students entering 12th grade must have a meningitis vaccine given after age 16. Your child may need a second dose if the first was given before age 16.

Today, we celebrate the 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆, 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, and 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗲 of our great state.
West Virginia Day marks the day our state officially joined the Union in 1863 as the 35th state. We are proud to call West Virginia home and grateful for the students, families, staff, and community members who make HCS such a special place.

June 19 is Freedom Day, also known as Juneteenth. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. This holiday is considered the longest-running African-American holiday and has been called America's second Independence Day. It was on June 19, 1865, that Union soldiers, led by Union General Gordon Arrived in Galveston, Texas to inform the enslaved African Americans of their freedom. In 2021, Juneteenth officially became a federal holiday.
